Anyone know about Tanaka in Sakai?

Tanaka is a blacksmith... he may have forged the knife, but someone else ground and sharpened it for sure

I didn't know blacksmiths have other people grind their knives. Is he like a up and coming black smith?
 
In Sakai, there is specialism in the processes of knifemaking handled by different people in different combinations depending on the operation. It may well be Yoshikazu Tanaka, who is firmly established as one of the better smiths

Oh, that's really interesting! I had no idea that the process would be passed down to so many people. I thought they shared workshops...
 
I remember trying to find shigeki on FB and there were alot of people with that surname. Could be a common one, like Smith over here.
