Best Knife Store in NC/VA/SC?

Hi there, I live in Raleigh, NC and would love to go actually hold some knives in my hands... of various types. I have Sur la Table and Williams Sonoma of course, but I'm looking more for carbon steel, which they have little or none of. I don't mind spending some money. I also don't mind a day trip, but it would have to be realistic for me to go there, check out the knives, and drive home. Maybe 5 hours max one way.

Any suggestions?

I used to live in Winston! Loved living there. Perfect blend of city and, somehow, sleepy small town. I wouldn't mind online shopping, if they were 100% cool with me buying many knives and returning almost all of them...

Most online shops have a return policy that allows unused items returned at buyer's expense. Is there a reason you're looking for carbon steel specifically? Are you just tired of your old knives? What knives do you currently own, and what do you like/dislike about them?
