Certainly looks like an interesting idea. I wonder if the bow makes it easier to sight the cut and keep it straight, since that’s the only issue I run into. Otherwise I’ve found Mercer bread knives to absolutely fly through any homemade bread, be it sourdough or shokopan with no problems.

On the bright side, the price seems really reasonable too. Storage seems like it’d bring its own challenges though

I eat a lot of sourdough as we have an amazing bakery close by, however, for the life of me I can’t make a straight cut, towards the end of the loaf it’s look like a triangle! Agreed, storage is going to be awkward.

Curious about this also. Unfortunately they don’t ship to the US. Coincidentally there’a a similar thread happening on the forum at the “place where chef knives go”, and I noticed this mentioned — only $20 + $4 shipping. Doesn’t quite look as elegant as the Jono version though.

I've actually considered this idea in the past but never tried it... but the differences between serrated knives and certain saw blades aren't huge. But it's a lot cheaper to replace the saws when they go dull. It's not the worst idea I've ever seen.
