Nothing high tech or expensive here. Just thought I'd share my method of making cardboard Saya's.

Step 1: Measure how wide you need to make your first fold (spine should be towards the fold, opposite what my picture shows. Makes folding it straight much easier).

Step 2: Fold over.

Step 3: Fold over again.

Step 4: Cut off excess cardboard.

Step 5: This step might be optional. Depends on the shape of the knife and handle junction. Trim to shape, so all of the blade fits in the Saya.

Step 6: Mark off what you need to cut.

Step 7: Tape the Saya together.
