Hello,

Finally joined tonight.

I'm into Carbon steel blades & mostly Japanese Natural Stones.
I even made a small charcoal forge and made myself 2 knives using W2 and 26C3 steel earlier this year.
I'm in the process of making a small crucible forge and hope to get it running early next year when the
weather warms up so I can try to forge a few folded blades.

Cheers

Welcome eh/Bienvenue han. What kinds of knives did you make out of W2 and 26c3?

They both got WA handles that I ordered directly from Japan.
The 26C3 is a Nakiri and the W2 is something like a Santoku?
I wanted to make an Usuba, but it looks complicated to grind
and need experience before attempting it. I'll get pics up later.

I'm attempting to polish the 26C3 again right now using a Shobudani Shiro Suita.
Then, I'll try the Ohira Uchigumori again. I say "again" cause learning how to polish
the old fashioned way for me is a learning experience. lol

I need to get much better at polishing before I touch my Hanwei Katana with a stone.
Still have to read more of my book called "The Art of Japanese Sword Polishing."

Cheers
