I must have weighed it at some point, but I forget exactly. Based on the final weight of the knife, it's probably in the range of low 30s or less. I remember it having similar balance to ho wood handle. My other one is currently on my myojin 210. The weight is really nice for lightweight knives, to avoid balance being pushed too far back.Fuggin love this one. What was the weight of handle/final weight?
Nice rack! I have a rack like that too. However, I attached the magnets so that the blades do not touch the wood. The tannic acid in the wood can cause reactions with the steel. Better safe than sorry. The rubber from the magnets left unsightly stains on the blade. They could be removed, but it was a little annoying. By covering the magnets with cork I no longer have this problem. I also once had a small chip on a knife because I hit a wooden stick over it, so I covered the sticks with shrink tubing.Got the hunk o Maple rack installed on the office wall. Missing paint and bit of drywall from the previous floating magnets I had...that 3M tape is strong!

Agreed...Tostadas, that handle on the Shindo and, as always, your great spa job takes a great knife to a new level

I bought this Kamon from @marc4pt0 Some time ago. Back then I used it daily until an acquaintance Mufasa'd it from a table. I went abroad and left it with my brother and some time passed before I could obtain it again, (sort of) repair the snapped tip and get it back to board. Picture of the new k tip and some blues
Wife just got some A5 in for Japan for my birthday. The marbling is bonkersA5 wagyu for our new outlet launching. Got larger cuts like this it needs to be super cold when you process it or it melts.
Its so nice. Thick at the spine but transitions to the edge finely. Something I’m not worried about chipping. Plenty of metal to play withThose xerxes look nice, hope he does something similar in the future
