Gesshin Ginga Cleaver, monosteel Swedish stainless (western handle), Asking $265, SOLD
Edge length, tip to heel: 226mm
Height at heel: 107mm
Weight: 448g
Western (yo) rosewood handle
Comes in original box
Used very lightly, never sharpened. I don’t use cleavers much, and decided to keep a carbon cleaver instead of this one.
Konosuke Fujiyama 120mm Petty, White #1 core, iron-clad, asking $195, SOLD
Edge length, tip to heel: 122mm
Height at heel: 25mm
Weight: 68g
Bog oak handle, ringed gidgee spacer, made by Anton Kudris (icanhzchzbrgr)
Sharpened a couple times. Once I followed the wide bevel, with some scratches on the bevel. Forged by Yoshikazu Tanaka, not sure who the sharpener was. Y. Tanaka has great heat treatment of his Hitachi steels.
Sukenari 165mm Petty, ZDP-189, stainless clad, Asking $190
Edge length, tip to heel: 156mm
Height at heel: 28mm
Weight: 89g
Nice knife, but I mostly use a 150 petty, and I also picked up a 180 petty when I need some extra length, so this one isn’t getting much use.
Outstanding edge retention, sharpened once, a couple light scratches from that session.
Very small chip in the buffalo horn ferrule, I never noticed it in use (not sure when or how it happened).
