Hello KKF, I gave these two a bit of a refresh with new handles that I think suit the blades better, so I'm reposting in a new thread.

Prices include CONUS shipping and G&S fees. I'd prefer to ship within the continental US, but I'm willing to bend a bit for international and will cover the first $15. Open to any reasonable offers and trades if you have some cool stuff you want to offload on either one of these!

Nakagawa Ginsan K-tip 240mm Gyuto - $350 SOLD

Ever since being introduced to the world of Japanese knives, I have loved the look of wide bevel K-tips, which led me to purchase this beauty... alongside a Ginsan K-tip Tetsujin, which I've found to be a bit more to my liking due to the added height. This guy has been used on a few veggies for test cuts, but otherwise has its OOB edge. Speaking of edge, this is a Morihiro grind. Handle is a Hitohira Yakusugi Cedar w/ Blonde Horn Ferrule. I'd honestly not be selling this if I had more room on my display rack, as it's really pretty to look at. ☺️

Steel: Ginsan
Handle: Yakusugi Cedar w/ Blonde Horn Ferrule
Edge Length: 229mm
Blade Height: 47mm
Thickness at Heel: 3.1mm

Hado Sumi B1D 200mm Gyuto - $485 SOLD

This was a "scratch that itch" purchase from CKC that I was very hyped about for about 2 weeks during which I loved everything about it; and to be honest, I still do... except the blade length. I also ended up getting a 240mm B1 TxK recently, which is very redundant with the HADO and I prefer the feel of. Knife has been used for a couple of meals, but has never been sharpened, honed, or stropped, so still has its original edge. Tanaka's B1 needs no introduction, and with Maruyama's masterful grind, this thing cuts like an absolute monster. I took off the original Lacquered Oak handle, which I understand some people aren't fans of, and replaced it with an ebony handle which really complements the kurouchi finish on the blade.

Steel: Aogami #1
Handle: Ebony w/ Black Horn Ferrule
Edge Length: 200mm
Blade Height: 52mm
Thickness at Heel: 3.4mm

That's all I have for now. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Balance point in image above.

As for weight, I don't have access to a scale at the moment, but the original Ebony handle put it at around 224g, so with the much lighter Yakusugi Cedar handle, this is easily below 200g and feels really light.
