Okay, so I bought one Yorokobi with the maple handle and was really impressed with the improved fit & finish vs. the Yoake line in a stainless/semi-stainless, but the same nail flexing thinness behind the edge (same maker as the Komorebi & Yoake lines). My one disappointment was that as opposed to the oversized 240's of the Yoake line, these were undersized at around 230mm. So what did this knife addict do? I bought three more in search of the right one. I'm keeping the top one in the first picture which is tallest 270mm (more like 255mm) at 57mm. The other two are currently sold out at Home Butcher and are significantly higher prices elsewhere.

270 is running at 257mm x 54mm at a hefty 289g with an ebony/nickel silver/buffalo horn handle (pics 2-4)

240 is running at 230mm x 53mm at 262g with an ebony/nickel silver/buffalo horn handle. (Pics 5-7)

Asking $300.00 for the big one or $290 for the smaller one shipped CONUS

Have both Komorebi & Yoake (dying to know the smith here lol). These look great too. On the heavy side! And u have 3! Thats krayzeee!

GLWS dude! Hope the buyer will leave some feedback for us curious people on how it performs lol.

Right?! I want to know so bad!

These are very similar to the Yoake in some respects, but while they get equally thin behind the edge, they do it with a more even taper down from the spine vs. the really aggressive taper of the Yoake. Personally, I think the first maple handled (not pictured) is my favorite, though admittedly I did not use these two. Honestly, I might change my mind on these by the morning.

I picked up a 240 SLD and it’s assertive. it’s unique for stainless w its girth and grind. It’s kinda Yoake M (migaki line) like, but it’s not quite as thin BTE. Does pretty good with the apple test, some stiction and better release than Yoake M.

Here are some caliper measurements (+~ fudge factor) Above the edge ~1cm the blade is thicker in the back 1.5mm and front 1.1. Yoake M is 1.1 back & 0.9 in front. Kono Fujiyama w1 is 0.9 in the back didn’t measure front.

Other notes-The lacquer reallly slowed it down OTB same as the Yoake M. Once removed much better performer. Also Replaced that monster deluxe handle 90g!

this should be in another thread but I hope it encourages folks to pick these up.

Hi, I'm new to this so I wonder How is the copper will react with food? Will it change color or have patina?
Also is the price including shipping in CONUS?

I have three knives with copper damascus and no copper does not pantina, sometimes it will change color with heat but it will not last long. The copper will tend to get brighter as you use it and may slightly tarnish if you don’t

I am curious to see what the flip side of the long knife looks like if you have pics, please!

To answer questions for those curious about this line:

270mm: heel 4.09mm, mid 3.01, ~1" from tip 2.11mm

240mm: heel 4.33mm, mid 3.07mm, ~1" from tip 2.05mm

Thanks for the interest. I'm going to withdraw these for now as the next week or two will be too busy at work to attend to shipping. If anyone is interested in these I think they offer a ton of value much like the Yoake line. There are some more that went up on homebutcher.com and the gofor30 discount is back through this weekend.
