Hi there!
I'm a member of a YouTube channel in Japan that does short documentaries on food, craftsmanship, and knifes as well!
We also support local Japanese blacksmiths such as Minomo Blacksmith in Kyushu to sell their knifes outside of Japan.
Here's our video on the smithy:
I'm not planning on spamming this group with unnecessary info or sales talk, but only share our documentaries about knife blacksmiths in Japan with you, if that's ok.
Greetings form Japan!

Very cool operation and in the middle of town. The neighbours must love them.

Blimey, 89. Is he retired too? What is Kato doing taking early retirement at 79........slacker.

Welcome.

Look forward to your contributions. Pls pay attention to the rules on promotion (don't) as you proceed.
I will be careful! If I end up making any mistakes or post something that is against the rules (or close to being against them) please let me know! It's really not my intention to bother any of you with lame promotions, but only to share interesting information.

Minomo knives really are in high demand! I am not super knowledgable about knives (still learning) - do you know why they have gotten so famous?
I think his demand is still more domestic, his knives are certified as Cultural significance by Kumamoto government. For overseas Michael from KnifeJapan sell them with free DHL shipping everywhere. (Cheaper than buying it through a proxy actually and faster)
