Help ID this Knife

My brother in law's father passed and my brother in law gave me this knife from his father's collection. Can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks in advance.

Masamoto. How thick is it? Probably 180 mm santoku... VG stainless

Its 4.5 - 4.64 mm thick depending on where I measure.

No prob! Oh, that's thick. Measure the spine of the blade where it's thickest over the heel, half way to the tip and then maybe an inch from the tip.

half way 4.66
1 inch from tip 3.37
blade is 210 mm long
Tip needs work as does the rest of the knife.

This would be their HC series virgin carbon steel

I stand corrected on the line. Thanks @Xenif. Maybe it's a 210 gyuto although that seems kinda thick to me.
