Hi i just joined from Singapore. Have a few Japanese kitchen knives in my collection and looking forward to learning more about sharpening and different types of knives and makers available. Thanks !
 
I might host a sharpening workshop later in the year at hackerspace.sg, if there’s enough interest.

In the meantime, if you’re in the market for whetstones I would be happy to lend you a few kg of Shapton Glass 220–16k, Chosera 400, King 250/1000/6000, JKI diamond 1k/6k etc to test drive before you buy your own.
