Identify friends knife?

A friend of mine bought this in Japan and asked me if I could find out more about it, make steel etc...

Total guess, but clearly Made in Japan from the ”Real Water Buffalo Horn" label on the ferrule.
The blade artwork looks to me like Kamata Hakensha in Kappabashi.
Could be wrong.

Konosuke used to carry similar blades with different motifs (Sakura and mt. Fuji etc.). Pretty sure it’s vg-10 and Shiraki forge work.
