Hey guys. Hope everyone is healthy and safe. Life has thrown a lot of curve balls my way lately. I’m going to have to let some stuff go to get by.
This stone is from an unknown mine. I purchased this from another knowledgeable member on the forum. This stone is really sweet once you get familiar with it. It’s not too hard and not soft. If it does start grabbing a little, simply just refresh the surface. It does have abilities to bring out some fine details depending on the cladding and your water control. The stone is sealed and ready to use. It creates a nice bright finish. The edge is pretty sweet also. Nice refined edge with slight teeth. I do not think this stone would be complicated for a beginner, but it might not be as easy to navigate like a super soft stone. You can definitely figure it out eventually. Attached are some photos of the stone and a tsubaya small gyuto. The gyuto has stainless cladding so the stone just produced a nice bright finish. Price for this stone is $300 shipped CONUS.

Please post the dimensions and weight. Thank you.
Stone is 8 inches long
3.25 inches wide
1.5 inches thick
The two scales I have in house only go up to 1000g so i’ll have to find another way to weigh it. Always wanted a nice shipping scale. It’s a nice chunk of stone. Let me see if the OG seller gave me weight, don’t think so.
