For sale is a beautiful example of Ben's work. These knives were made as a set, together with 2 sets of matching interchangeable handles.
Both knives made of 1.2519 tungsten monosteel. Primary handles of Tasmanian blackwood and copper caps. Second set of handles Elder with titanium caps.
These are large blades.
Cleaver:
232 mm edge
85 mm height at the heel
426 grams
Gyuto:
275 mm edge
61 mm height at the heel
287 grams
Includes what I guess we'll call sayas made of G10. Sorry, they really are sayas, but just larger than life like most of Ben's work!
$2,800 CONUS for the set, second handles and sayas. I'll consider international based on shipping costs.
As these were built as a set, I'd love to sell them as a set, and hope I've priced them to go as a set. But recognizing the big price tag, I'll entertain trades only, for individual knives. Only interested in the following as trade knives: Jiro Wa Gyuto, Kono Fuji old stock Morihiro ground, Isas wa cleaver.
(Mods - if this added trade stipulation is against BST let me know and I'll take it out. Been a while since I was on the selling side.)
