An unfortunate catch and release. The cutting edge of this knife is shorter than previously understood. I imagine it might actually be better for the majority of people. I wanted it to be longer since I already have a 265mm.

This is a special knife Ben put out last year. It comes with a special box. The saya is also included. It is still BNIB. See Ben's IG stories (4 of them!) below:









The size of the monolith handle is great on this one. The height of the handle is 27mm which is about the same as many of my regular western handles.

Based on my ruler and scale

Edge length: 270mm
Heel Height: 57mm

Steel is 1.2519

I guess depends on how you measure this it's either a 270 or 275. Either way it's really not that big a deal. All measurements have an allowance for variance. Very nice blade though. You should keep it. Stuff like this doesn't come along often.
