Hard and fine, an amazing razor finisher or fine polisher for knives. This one has some of the most intense coloration I’ve ever seen, and is incredibly pure with hardly any cosmetic blemishes at all. Truly a thing of beauty. Antique hand sawn aoto
This is the highest quality aoto I've ever come across. I've always casually considered this is a "sword grade" piece considering its consistency, fineness, and contrast in its polishes. This one is just built different! Like many aotos it has some lengthwise checking on the surface, but the stone is sealed and very solid, and this hasn't affected the polish in my experience. I use a very worn out atoma 400 on it to generate a slurry. Pics are pre-seal, now sealed with spar urethane, 215 x 65 x 66. $225 plus shipping or best offer.

.That Aoto looks super cool and would be a great intro for someone wanting to take the plunge into Jnats with a mid-grit edge finisher.
