My MIL gifted me some old kitchen tools that belonged to my wife's great grandparents. I'm guessing they were fabricated around 1900, but that may be way off. They are German in origin and are pretty cool beasts, the cleaver weighs in at 678g.

That little tomahawk is so cool; imagine separating a turkey leg from a carcass with that guy. And chopping nuts with the mace. You planning on using them?

You planning on using them?
No, I have no plans to use them. Maybe if one day I get some good enemies that need smiting...
I'll probably hang them up somewhere. The thing I'm wrestling with is: to clean them up or not? They are all pretty patina'd and the handles could use some love, but I'm on the fence, not sure if I want to make them look 'new.'
Any maker's marks on them? They look more ornamental than designed for use.
No MMs, I can't say if they were used, intended for use, or ornamental, maybe one day Antiques Roadshow will visit my town and I'll find out.
