Cooked a chicken gravy with my brother. We will serve it over rice with corn maque choux on the side. This is a meal I grew up eating at least once a week.

Also pictured is a few knives we used to prepare. Starting to get a few nice ones. I can’t believe I used such terrible knives for most of my life.

I didn't know this dish before, but it inspired me. I'll deal with that in the next few days. Let's see if I can get all the necessary ingredients (or substitutes) in Germany. But even if it doesn't, I'm sure it will taste great!

chicken
Onions
Bel pepper
Celery
Garlic
Parsley
Rice

salt
Pepper
Cayenne pepper
Garlic power
hot sauce (for acid)
