Markin Cleaver 210x90mm
52100, etched
Stabilized Birch Burl and African Blackwood

This cleaver was a custom I got direct from Andrei. It's a supercharged interpretation of the classic CCK 1303. Craftsmanship is top notch. Executed perfectly with a full convex laser thin grind. And by laser, this knife redefines laser for me. Thinner grind than the thinnest gyutos I've had, including the likes of Shibata, Takamura, Kono HD2, Kono FM, etc. Ghosts through anything you can throw at it.

Like most of my other knives, this has seen only light use at home, sharpened once, and touched up mainly with BBW. The 52100 steel feels durable and can hold an edge for a long time. Andrei etched the steel, so it's not very reactive. You can see from the photos and video that it's taken minimal patina.

Sad to see it go, but I know that someone out there will really enjoy this.

Will include a "custom" friction fit cardboard saya I made for it.

$585 shipped & fully insured within US (international PM for details)
