Migoto 228x51mm Gyuto
Blue #1 Core w/ Iron Clad (forged by Yoshikazu Tanaka)
Rosewood octo handle

I had this knife supercharged by Ryan Swanson at District Cutlery. I liked everything about it except the grind was a bit thick for my liking. So I asked Ryan to tune it up to fly through stuff. It came back with a killer grind that did not disappoint. Very right hand biased with a full high convex on the right. Rosewood handle is a bit larger than a typical Japanese knife, so it fills my medium sized hand nicely. Spine is decently thick and has a slight taper to a very fine tip. Measuring the thinness of the grind, I find it is very similar to my Kono FM, but with more convexity all the way up the blade. Top it off with Y.Tanaka's blue#1 treatment to round out the package.

$400 shipped & insured within US (international I can cover the first $15, PM for details)
