Specs:
- 235 x 53mm
- 5mm spine at handle
- 282g
- Olive wood handle
- Original saya included
Trade value/Price:
- £1675
Trades:
- I’m still looking for a KU Milan in the 240-255 range, but could also entertain Nakiri at least 180x56 or taller/longer.
- I’m also interested in other wrought/mild steel/soft iron clad Milan gyuto in a more basic construction.
Condition and Other Notes:
- Bought earlier this year from the first owner after it was offered to me following a very long search.
- The knife has seen barely any use (in fact, none from me at all since I bought it). It has not been sharpened to my knowledge, but it does have a microbevel.
- To be candid, I am loathe to sell this but it’s in a value bracket that I don’t feel comfortable playing in right now - especially because I own another similarly expensive Milan knife!
- I will try to be understated in my sales spiel and just say that it is very nice, from the distal taper that starts off hefty and robust at the heel before stretching to an increasingly aggressive and thin tip; to the polish which is the cleanest and most refined natural stone finishing I have personally seen to date; to the rokkaku hanmaru olive wood handle with a grain patterning that flows organically into the deep etch structure on the knife itself.
