In Saint Paul here’s a few hot spots worth checking out.

Meritage .
Fancy French Expensive. Definitely recommend but downtown Saint Paul is a total slum.

W.A. Frost .
Best patio in town. Also expensive but worth it. Quiet historic neighborhood. Take a walk around and check out the mansions on Summit Ave before or after.

Hope Breakfast Bar .
Very happening breakfast brunch only joint. Talk of the town last couple years. They actually closed an entire side street down during Covid so they could stay open and the street remains closed during business hours.

These are a few sort of easy choices I suppose. I will try to think of some off the radar spots as they come to me .

Have fun. We love it here especially in July!

Have to and should recommended Sea Salt in Minnehaha falls regional park in Minneapolis. Part of an extensive riverside park system with tons of short hikes around the waterfall and rivers edge as well as very long paved trails that interconnect with other historic parks nearby. Counter service no reservations and on a nice day there will be a line. Wonderful place to visit especially if you don’t know the way around the twin cities @stringer

We were there last weekend. Highlight of the trip, culinarily speaking, was Hai Hai, a delightful Vietnamese place. We really enjoyed the Mill Museum and the Botanical Gardens. And we will definitely be back to Minneapolis sometime. I had no idea it was such a major metropolis. Tons of good beer and super diverse restaurant scene.
