Hey folks, selling a really nice Mizuno here with A+ specs and convex 50/50 grind. This was a custom I ordered from Jun Mizuno and am only owner. Sharpened a couple times, but it really takes and holds a crisp edge. It's a hard steel, for certain. It has the sort of classic honyaki "thump" in use on the board. It just feels stiff and hard in use and I love that unique feeling especially on a Walnut cutting board (versus the slightly softer Cherry). Nice patina going, and the hamon is still visible and there in the classic Mizuno patterning. Fully polished by Jun.

The knife has a slightly taller profile by a couple mm per my request, and a custom Urushi lacquered handle (black lacquer, black horn). Forward balance on this and blade forward feel. Nicely balanced in forward pinch grip. I quite like this, but also have a 270mm version and am keeping that one, given how long I am on 240s.

Closed similar one I can see is this one from JCK. https://japanesechefsknife.com/prod...7orD9LObxUvmJ58-nJyxQGDiNQWmsBmxoCdvgQAvD_BwE

I paid $1433 for it several years ago and am asking $1,200 $1,150 CONUS and $1,250 $1,200 Int'l which I think it's a pretty darn good deal for a knife of this caliber.

Happy to answer more questions if people have them. Specs and photos below.
