Korin in NYC. Strata in Portland, ME. Not in CT, but close enough for a day trip to check stuff out. There are a couple of makers and sharpeners in our area as well if you are interested in having work done.

I love Korin. Have several of their Korin branded knives. I was thinking in ct but yeah it’s like an hour for me to get to Korin.

Definitely interested in sharpeners. That’s one part of my game I really suck at and have nvm ever bothered to practice.

I have never used his services but this gent. is in Boston area and has come highly recommended by others for sharpening.

Have chatted with him on IG and seems like a perfectly nice guy to do business with 👍.

KKF is a great place to get information on how to start getting things sharp :).

New England doesn’t really have much.
If you include NYC, the big 3 are Korin, MTC, and Strata.

Some places like Maruichi Select in Boston will have a very small amount, but it’s only a partial selection from MTC and Korin (so only really worth it if you live in Boston).

Cookshop Plus in West Hartford has a selection of German knives (last time I checked) but it mostly the same selection you’d find in any big box cooking store.
