New Member - Knife Noob

Hello everyone. I was cutting brisket yesterday with a dull knife and decided I wanted to get a nice knife so I ended up here.

I do realize that knives need to be sharpened and maintained but don't want to put that much effort (above and beyond a simple sharpener) into a crappy knife set.
