I need to let some things go so i’m posting this ohira renge uchigumori.

This stone was one of my first Jnats. It’s 7 1/4 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. Not huge but definitely a great beginners stone. I’ve polished knives up to 270 mm with this guy. It’s lacquered on the sides and bottom. This stone actually came from nutmeg. I would say it’s about a 3/5 hardness. I don’t used a forced slurry because it doesn’t need it. Work up some mud, ease up on the pressure a touch, and work the mud.

This is perfect for someone getting into naturals. I learned on this stone and so can you. Or, soigne_west has a gorgeous ohira uchi up for sale as well. For the price, his is a steal! This one will be priced fairly as well. $200 shipped USPS priority CONUS. Would rather avoid international sales unless your in Canada

Here is another example of the finish from this stone I sent to someone who was interested. For now the stone is still available. This nakiri is wonky though. Usually the core gets a littttttllleee more mirrored. This stone will also come with a fingerstone that you can use if you’re newer and struggle with getting a perfect finish. For the size this stone is priced fairly and I will probably end up keeping it if it doesn’t sell. I probably wouldn’t do this just because it’s a useable bench stone but you could also turn this into fingerstones.
