Stones for sale. No trades please. Postage is from the UK - this is usually around $20 to the EU, $30 to the US.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

1.
Honyama Karasu
200 x 77 x 38, 1582g (with base)
$600

Big, beautiful Karasu. Honestly some of the most textured, dramatic, cloud-like karasu I’ve ever seen. The catch… there’s about 8mm of it. As I once described it elsewhere – it’s a generational stone, but I’ll be the only generation with karasu. However, this is the only thing keeping the price semi-reasonable.

Used as a finisher after a suita, for example. Feels a little glassy to start, but with judicious water management it soon becomes surprisingly swarfy, and feels pleasingly smooth. Brings out great detail on core, banding etc. Finishes around the 7-9k range.

2.
Ohira Renge Suita,
180 x 64 x 19, 530g
$310

Small size suita, from Watanabe originally. Half packed with renge, half textured yake. Slightly on the harder end for Ohira suitas. Semi-mirror finish hagane.

3.
Ohira Uchigumori
128 x 59 x 34, 555g
$185

Uncut uchi.

4.
Iromono Namazu
182 x 65 x 29, 688g
$225

Striking stone, a real looker. Purples, yellows and reds. Unknown mine. Medium-soft, will get fairly muddy with some work. Medium-high grit, it generally sat after an aizu in my progression. Leaves a very usable, toothy edge.
