Good evening from France :)
I wanted to share with you my second completed restoration :D
This nakiri is part of a bigger set of vintage knives that I bought
It forced a patina with coffee qui early to work more easly on it (and it worked more than well). It need à but of polishing here and there and a pass on the 3000 stone abd it's good to go (I'm selling to a friend.

Can someone tell me something about the kanji on it ? Thanks :)

Nice work. Does the knife guard have a felt lining? Expect rust occurring at the border.
Thanks :D
All the gaps have been filled with wood paste to avoid this, I may even do a second pass to be sure

The problem with the felt is it holds humidity. Expect rust exactly where the felt ends.
Le feutre retient l'humidité. Il faut s'attendre à de la rouille au bord du feutre.
I had troubles with "felt" 😭
Thanks for telling me ! I was not aware of that, I always dry my knives thoroughly so it shouldnt be that much of a problem 😮‍💨

My pfp ? It's a old meme (5-4 years ?), it's the face of the vilain in Shrek on the body of Marc Zuckerberg, the "E" is just here on comedic purpose
I recommend another villain. When you take the first two and last two letters of that man’s surname,
