Selling my 165 mm KU OEM nakiri, I used it a decent amount, sharpened it 3 or 4 times, never thinned but I did polish it. The KU is still fully there, and I put a Taihei ho wood and black horn octagonal handle on it, these are really nice handles. Maybe I'm wrong, but this one seems a bit thinner ground than the usual shig double bevel KU's, I also have a KU santoku that's ground decently thicker than this. This one doesn't really wedge through carrots, great smaller, nimble knife. It's nice steel too, gets seriously sharp with barely any effort, refreshing it is as simple as stropping it on a high grit stone. Please see the measurements below:
Blade length: 156 mm
Height at heel: 52 mm
Spine thickness out of the handle: 7 mm
Spine thickness at the heel: 3.5 mm
Spine thickness 1/2 down the blade: 1.8 mm
Weight: 197 g
Selling for $350 + shipping. I'm located in Australia, shipping this to the US would likely cost somewhere between $40 and $80, based on previous experience. Can get an exact price before purchase. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Prices are in USD.
I also have a Shig KU 165 mm santoku up for sale, if anyone wants to buy both knives, I'll knock $50 off the total price, so $650 for both knives.
