Hey everyone,
I'm letting go of one or both of these knives - they're just too nice for me to use myself and they've been sitting in storage. Would rather they go to someone who can appreciate them. Prices include PayPal G&S fees and shipping with signature confirmation to continental US. Buyer to pay any additional postage if shipping international. Open to offers as I'm not actually sure about the valuations but would prefer not to take a hit if possible. Thanks!
First up is a Shigefusa Kitaeji 210 mm Wa-Gyuto, BNIB although unfortunately very slightly tipped (damaged en route to me when I originally bought it). Never used or sharpened. Price:$2000 sold for $1800
Second is a BNIB Watanabe mizu-honyaki in SC125 which I believe to be unique, purchased directly from Watanabe from the Special section of his website. I realize this sounds like pure marketing, but I do want to note that at the time of purchase several years ago, Watanabe mentioned that he believed this knife to be the best honyaki of his life. I've included the description and pictures from Watanabe's website about this knife, as I believe he does a much better job of describing it than I can. Never used or sharpened. Price: $2800 $2600 $2400 $2200 - final drop sold for $1800 + another knife as trade (~$400) (original cost to me ~$2300 USD)
