Hello everyone,

I am selling this beautiful Shigefusa Yanagiba Kasumi 300m knife. From what I understand it was originally made around the 80s for Kiya house. The previous owner mentioned that it was never used and thus it is NOS. I have sent the knife to Rodrigo, a well regarded professional knife sharpener in London, who has straightened the blade (there was a bit of a bend due to its age, which is very common for single bevel knives) and sharpened it. I have polished the blade with Uchigumori finger stones and powder.

I have accumulated a rather sizeable collection of yanagibas (and other knives for that matter) and I have decided to trim them down a little. Planning to put a few more knives on WTS (from Watanabe and a few others).

I am looking for £1100 for the knife plus any shipping costs outside of UK. Happy to cover the shipping fees in UK. Will post fully tracked and insured.

Speaking for myself only
I would love a Shig kasumi or kit
But don’t use a yanagi enuf to justify spending 4 digits
I would do so for s shape that I use regularly
Just my perspective as I am not a sushi chef
