Hey guys. Long story short, a lot of horrible stuff has happened. I don’t know what is going on, but I have been having some horrible luck. Is what it is. These knives are up for sale for that reason. The rest i’m keeping for work. I’m leaving the hobby side of this alone for a while. As well as all other hobbies. Time to refocus.
1) ShiHan telegraph wire /w2 250 mm gyuto
This one breaks my heart to sell. ShiHan is my absolute favorite and really wanted to avoid this, but there is some damage to my car that needs to be repaired. This knife is phenomenal. Pretty light so it can be used for long hours in pro settings. It’s definitely reactive but nothing insane. The telegraph wire looks similar to wrought iron. I did use a little simichrome which took some of the etching off. You could easily bring it back various ways. The details on this cladding are beautiful. Awesome choil, falls through food. The handle is sapele wood. It’s a little bit of an experiment for shehan. He said it might get a little rough after getting wet, but I haven’t noticed anything crazy. He sent some sandpaper incase and afterwards you could always use oil or beeswax. I paid $720 for this knife. I’m selling it for $700 shipped. It was used literally one day in a pro kitchen. The side towel left a couple microscopic scratches that you can barely see. Normal stuff. Weight is 229g.
2) Old school Mazaki 240 (yoshihiro)
This one is a gem. I fell into mazaki like everyone else. Went through a few. Loved this one so much I used it a few times only. Silly but whatever. This has an awesome profile and an unbelievable choil. Cuts like butter. Comes with a black saya. Weight is 249g. Price is $300 shipped. Haven’t sharpened even the edge on this one. Pretty much a brand new old school maz with light patina.
3) Mazaki 180 nakiri from CKC
This one is a project knife. Before I actually developed polishing skills and technique. I never finished this knife. I think I didn’t thin enough near the heel because I feel a little more metal was left on the heel and it has a slight accordian cut feel. I’m sure one of you guys can fix this pretty easy and put it to use. Also scratched near the spine. I paid $220 for this. I’m selling this for $160 shipped.
4) Munetoshi petty 165 mm
Love this knife. Sharpened a couple times. Never thinned. I’m moving away from iron altogether anyways so I might as well let it go. Don’t really have a choice right now anyways.
$110 shipped. This thing looks like it

I’m keeping these in the US/Canada for now. I will only ship elsewhere if I absolutely have to.
