It’s a snake sell again, you know the drill, stupid prices, shipping included, ConUS only, they’ll go fast.

HVB is in 1095 soft iron cladding I believe, beautiful little knife and only selling because I got a bigger one. Merts 1095 is excellent.

Big bundle of carbon
I’m lumping all 3 of these together in a motley crew of carbon knives. We have a 6inch Sab Carbon petty, screaming edge on this and stable patina, great little knife. The wa handle is a Refcast special aka a santoku from him. Not sure on maker or quite remember the steel but I’ll say this, cuts very well, good edge retention and feels super solid/sturdy. Has a very distinct solid/weighty feel to it, kinda reminds me of Munetoshi in feeling. 168x43mm on that one. Last is a older carbon gyuto/slicer. Needs some further thinning but the steel and handle are good. Good distal taper too.

That was my HVB petty and I would have kept it… I just don’t like petty knives. Steel feels like a crispy white 2 in many ways and Mert really nailed the grind on this one.

Back when Malcolm had the HVB I got to check it out, it has great dimensions and awesome solid feel in hand. If full carbon petties are your thing this is a sweet one and a great deal at this price.

Thanks for all the nice comments folks, yeah these are really impressive. I’m only selling because I spent way more and bought a larger one, same steel, it’s excellent. There’s a few dudes doing 1095 exceptionally well and Mert is absolutely one.
