I went a bit overboard with knife buying lately and since I got two blades by Fredrik Spåre one of them might be ready to leave me:
About the knife:
The blade made in january 2022 was originally purchased from Fredrik Spåre by a swedish hobbyist who made the saya and the handle. Aparantly he has made a few knives for himself and family and this was one of the first ones he sold "publicly" but he has no trademark or instagram or anything like that. I'll give his name to the buyer, of course, but keep this private for his privacy right now.
The blade was unused with I got it right after X-mas and I've used it for a couple of dinners but not sharpened it yet.
The knife feels really good and a little sturdy but with a fine tip. My other Spåre has a thinner spine even though it's longer. The balance point is right behind the logo.
In the pictures below, I want to point you to two things: Firstly, the blade currently has patina. I'm happy to clean that of before shipping if buyer wants that. Secondly: The blade has a couple of black marks in the cladding on left hand side of the blade. I've made an attempt at marking that on one of the pictures. They have been there from the beginning. The one at the cutting edge will probably dissapear completely after first sharpening.
Specs:
Steel: Carbon (exact kind unknown, probably 26c3)
Cutting edge length: 210 mm
Height at heel: 51 mm
Spine thickness over heel: 3mm (approx)
Weight: 191 grams
Balance point: approx 7 mm behind the logo
Handle: "ebonized" oak and brass
Saya / sheath: Leather.
Payment and shipping:
Price: 250 USD including shipping.
Paypal Goods&Services. The price includes shipping globally from Sweden (I checked prices for EU, USA and Singapore - if your locale for some reasons is much different in price for me, lets discuss). Swedish buyers, perhaps we can find cheaper solutions - just PM me.
I'm willing to ship wherever it's legal to do so, but any customs handling for import is up to buyer. The sale is final unless something is seriously wrong or damaged in shipping - returns are extra hard if you're located outside of the EU due to customs handling.
I will add pictures in comments, one set taken when the knife was unused and one in current condition with some patina).
Questions? Just ask them.
