I'm clearing out some of the stones I've ended up with as part of lots and don't have a near term use for, or have been bumped from regular use by another version. I am usually willing to discuss trades, but I'm trying to get some extra funds for something I can't stop coming back to, so I have a strong preference for selling this time around. I can ship Intl, but I'll have to get a quote and all that if there's any interest outside of the US. All prices are exclusive of shipping, recent shipping quotes have been ~$9 for delivery in the lower 48. I'm going to keep descriptions relatively short for these, please feel free to ask if there's any additional information that you'd like about any of these.

Thuringian #1 - $100 Sold!

Thuringian #2 - $100

Coti - $130 Sold!

8x2 Washita - $55 Sold!

6x2Washita - $45 Sold!

Washita Slip - $15 Sold!

Trans ark slips - $15 Sold!

1 x 3 Trans ark - $10 Sold!

Synth Razor Hones - Free with any purchase: first come, first served.

Update: there's enough interest in both the coti and the 8x2 washita that I'm marking them both as SPF. I'm heading to bed for the evening and I'll send out messages and updates in the morning. Depending on a handful of things I may post another 8x2 washita and I'll go back through the cotis and see if there's any others that I could move along, given the interest level in both of them.

Here's the razor hones:

Thuri #1 - $100 Sold!
Dark Blue, 212mm x 45m x 19mm, ~510g, SG 2.79
The majority of these pics are before lapping, the last two show the lapped faces. I lapped both faces flat, there are two small sections on the "bottom" side along the edge of the stone where there's a slight drop down to the edge, they won't affesct honing and I didn't feel it was worth the material loss to chase them all the way out. All edges on each face have been rounded and surface conditioned with an atoma 1200. None of the sides have been touched, all the saw marks are intact.

Thuri #2 - $100
Dark Blue, 208mm x 45m x 19mm, 491g, SG 2.83
Both faces lapped flat, one face has a chip on one end, it also will not affect honing on it and is relatively shallow. Bottom end edge is a slightly different color than the rest of the stone, it was likely cut right up to the non-useable portion. All edges have been rounded and both faces have been conditioned with an atoma 1200.

Natural Coti/BBW Combi - $130: Sold!
174mm x 40mm x 16mm, Coti thickness varies from 12mm to 6mm, 329g, SG 2.99
(my guess is it's la vienette, could be la dressante, could be from an old mine)
Both Coti and BBW side have been lapped, BBW is flat, coti has a small section directly in the middle that's still slightly dished. This was all I could stomach lapping out, I don't feel like the low spot in the middle will affect using it. Edges have been rounded, both faces conditioned with an atoma 1200. It's on the softer side of average, pretty fast anyway you use it. Probably tops out as a pre-finisher for razors, really great for kitchen knives. I wouldn't be putting it up if I wasn't only keeping wider format cotis. Oh! the BBW is just top notch as far as those go, performance to match the looks.

8 x 2 Washita - $55: Sold!
204mm x 52mm x 25mm, 622g, SG 2.27
Has some dings, is still dished on the bottom. I can work that out if having that side flat is desired, I might ask for $ to handle it since it's probably going to take me 25-45 mins hunched over a brick to get it worked flat, feel free to discuss in PM. Not a homogenous stone, kind of mottled through with opaque and translucent bits, has some flecks of that rosy pink on one side. It's not quite to the level of some of other trans washitas that I've come across, but it's got that really fast and really fine flexibility to it to a greater degree than any lily white or #1 I've used. The flat portions of the dished side are very, very fast right now since they only had a quick session on top of 120 grit SiC, they'll calm down a bit as you hone on it. I don't know if the dished side is inherently faster when they both have the same surface conditioning. The flat side finished on much more worn SiC and is (currently) the slower of the two. I like the tool marks that would get erased with lapping the dished side flat, whomever ends up with it can decide if they want to keep them as well.

6 x 2 Washita - $45: Sold!
171mm x 54mm x 39mm, 639g, SG 2.11
Also has some dings, but only on one side. Both faces lapped flat and the edges are (overly) rounded. Has less total range than the 8x2, but it's still a great stone. Feel is more consistent with the known No 1s that I've handled, so faster and finer than (most) soft arks and faster but less fine than (most) hard arks. There might be some more speed there if the SG really is 2.11, it's been a while since I've used this one.

Trans Ark slips -$15 each Sold!
Trans Ark 1x3 - $10 Sold!
The darker one looks more modern, it has that slightly milky opacity that's more common with the more recent trans arks. The smaller one is a labled pike with the paper part gone (or exactly the same size, shape, material consistency, and label placement as a Pike) it's near flawless (very few inclusions), both have had damage, the darker one has a CA glue repair. I can make a base or box for any of the slips, if desired.

The 1x3 is from a similar material to the more modern slip.

Update:
Coti, both bench size washitas, and the trans ark slips are SPF; I am asking down the queue for the 8x2 if they would like to purchase the second washita, if they all pass on it, then I'll put together a listing page for it.

It's unlikely that I'm going to put another coti up at this time, if I do it's going to be one with worn through sections, dishing, or both.

oh boy I slept through a goodn 🙁

On the slim chance that Washita slip falls through, (waves)
