Crack on steel up to lamination line, which shouldn't affect use. . . Happens sometimes when I'm not careful with uradashi, especially for harder steel

Odd shape diagonal

Not sure about hardness. It's definitely hard but not obscenely glassy. Edge taking is very sticky. Feels the most like heiji carbon. Maybe a little toward aogami super


On the front in katakana it says "super" then in kanji "hardness" then 73

Ah thank you for thinking of me, sorry for the slow reply, I’m on holiday atm.

Happily I do have a wrought iron kanna already (though not quite as large), and it’s fantastic for looking at stones. I’m sure the buyer here will be delighted with that one.
