Coming straight out of Tokyo Prefecture by way of Canadia and Cascadia is the one, the only, the Denka. Levels of wabi that are this sabi have been imitated, but never replicated, by many other makers. Just look at the handle fit up. Just feel it ooze character.
Hand-picked from a Knifewear selection to avoid a grind that was too wonky. It's still got the classic Denka drunken grind, some scuffs on the blade road reveal it. She ain't a looker, but she's a real good cutter. I have a few old vids on my YT channel (same handle as the forum). Takes a very low sharpening angle. This gets 'stick in the board' sharp if you want it to, and holds it.
I don't have a good reason for not using it much other than I don't. If it doesn't sell, it'll become my nephew's HS graduation gift.
