Been a while since there's been a Nine Honyaki on BST. Here's a chance to possibly own one.



Kind of at my end game so I’ll be looking stuff that I'd use and more perfect fits for myself or unicorns, generally gyutos between 210mm-250mm.
Originally this list was longer but honestly, there’s probably only a few knives I would trade this for.

Honyaki pictures for those who missed it. Has a very strong hamon with ashi.

Tested out a few cuts, really amazing cutting feel with a nice balance of food release.

Landed with some patina. I cleaned it up with some flitz and polished it with some uchigumori finger-stones to bring out more contrast. Can’t take credit though as Rob likely set an amazing base and didn’t know what I was doing too much.

Its edge is still quite sharp so if I had to guess, it would have been minimally touched up or possibly could have not been as well.



Will let this float around, and take my time with this trade.

Still unicorn hunting with the Nine.
