Hello, one of the first knives I purchased from the forums was a Takeshi Saji rainbow damascus gyuto. Beautiful look and cut pretty well to the standards I had. However, before long I found I didn't pick it up as much because it was so thick. I would like to use it in the future and am thinking of taking it on as a thinning job. Has anyone done this on any copper damascus before? I'm curious how the finish comes out, if at all. I'm prepared to take it to stone and sandpaper if needed, but looking for guidance since I have not touched any patterns before. Thanks in advance!
