A "Red" Aoto from Tanaka Toishi originally purchased from Carbon Knife Co.

Like other soft Aoto, you can expect strong sharpening power,

The dimensions of the stone are roughly 200 X 58 X 58 mm (L x W x H). It weighs 1054 grams and is sealed in polyurethane. Cosmetically, it leaves a beautiful dark polish on iron cladding. Images below show a very quick and lazy before/after polish. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for their first natural stone.

Asking 75 USD shipped.

i own one of these too. i like it. it's DEFINITELY worth spending $75 on. it's by far my softest stone so it's easy to get an even polish. for a little while i was finishing some of my edges with it to have a course edge.
Thanks for the kind words.

I think my Tanba Aoto is the same muddy soft stone that for some reason I am barely adjusting myself to its deep scratches. Sometimes I feel like I wanna sell it and then I go back to practice more on it. I agree it gives a uniform pattern on a progression polishing phase. For edges, meh! I find Naniwa 3k and/or Aizu better for that purpose. I bought mine for $70 about a year ago from @thebradleycrew, so still, $75 is a great price.
