Great steel but not exactly sure what it is. Bought of @refcast as all good mystery stuff is. Super crispy and easy to sharpen.

Stone ready bevel with a decent kasumi. Would prefer a little less convexity at the tip but that’s a minor complaint for what’s on offer. No low spots, crisp shinogi, dead straight ura, etc.

Steel reminds me of good Togo steel. Like white steel x aogami super. Probably white steel but it's extra abrasion resistant. Best yanagi steel I've used, I'd take it over unshu yukimitsu white, which in turn I'd take over tf white. Box says special steel but idk, quite a few knives had that on the box I've seen
