Bought this gyuto a while back. It is a unique creation with a more polished wrought iron finish rather than super deep etching. I sent it out to get thinned and it now is a wonderful performer. It has an insane taper out of the handle and gets very thin towards the tip. I gave it a quick partial etch/polish with vinegar and Uchi powder. It has a very beautiful finish on the iron, but maintains some scratches from thinning. I would call it an attractive working finish. There were some issues with the tip during shipping, I made a thread on the repair, but it is all set now! Fortunately it had a longer edge length to start with.
If you know Japanese knives then you’ll know that a rentetsu clad gyuto from a Japanese maker that ALSO performs is an absolute rarity. This one is unique and sits in a class of its own.
