Introducing a stunning gyuto knife, meticulously crafted by a skilled Chinese blacksmith, Kaida Ma, inspired by the renowned "Yuzan" gyuto created by Shoichi Hashimoto. The artisan used the same core steel, White 2 and Blue 2 Damascus, resulting in a remarkable hardness of approximately 62 HRC. The outer cladding, a unique feature of this gyuto, is handmade using a blend of three distinct metals. The blacksmith has chosen to keep his proprietary formula a secret. Well-polished spine and choil.

This exquisite knife comes with a beautiful ebony handle and a custom-made saya for added elegance and protection.

Specifications:
  • Blade Length: 235mm
  • Overall Length: 390mm

    • At the choil: 3.7mm

This dude out here cloning Hashimotos 🤯. Unreal! I’d literally think it was a Shoichi if I didn’t know better!

You are absolutely right. I also can't believe this is a replica. The price is only 1/3 of the original Yuzan knife.
This piece seems perfect for true Damascus enthusiasts. ;)
