Hello All,

This little bunka began life as a 230mm honyaki gyuto....and well, it had other plans. So after some re-profiling, this is what it has become. The geometry is very thin, and the blade is essentially zero-ground. It should be a nice little performer all around.

  • Blade: 145mmx52mm SheffCut (64-65 HRC) 320 grit hand finish
  • Neck: 16mmx17mm
  • Handle: 132mm long, 19mmx22mm tapering to 17mmx19mm- Oil finished cherry
  • POB: 28mm from the hande (where the M and S join in the MM)
  • Spine: 3.0mm at the neck, 2.7mm at halfway, .86mm 1cm from the tip
  • Grind: flat to convex, right hand bias
  • Weight: 118g
  • Relieved choil and spine
  • Edge: .15mm@1mm, .27mm@2mm, .53mm@5mm, .8mm@10mm Measured at the midpoint.
Asking $150 U.S + $25 U.S for shipping with insurance anywhere in North America. International will be in the ballpark of $50-$75 U.S depending on the area.
