Correct. Was sharp as hell, but too much belly for a Nakiri imo. I really wanted to like it, but alas... hopefully the Maillet Nakiri that's on its way is better

I actually have one more on its way from Germany but it's stuck in customs void at the moment. I agree Maillet's work looks awesome.

Yeah, all the knives from my original post are gone at this point. Thinking about picking up a Yoshi again though, now that they're making them extra tall.

I did exactly this. I saw a 57mm k-tip and I jumped on it. It's really fun and a big boi. I had a masur birch handle that fit it perfectly.

So far, two definite keepers are the Takada Suiboku and the Maillet 240 KU.
