Hello,

I just got the Atoma 140 flattening stone. Didn’t think of it until now, but I’d be using it on a 500 Besser, 1200 Besser, and a 5000 Rika. Is it too aggressive for the 5000 Rika? I didn’t know if this was a thing so I wanted to check before I used it.

Thank you!

I find a 140 is adequate for any synthetic regardless of grit. I cant tell any appreciable difference when using the 140 or a 600 on my 8k or 10k. Naturals are different.

No you can use the Atoma 140 for all of your stones. It will flatten the 5K stone a little faster and be sure to use the pencil grid marks to minimize your stone wear.
