WTS BNIB Catcheside Gyutohiki 256mm — dropped

Hi KKF,

Im offering a new Catcheside Gyutohiki. The knife was a half-custom (he had the knife in the pipeline and asked me if I wanted it and for handle choices etc).

The knife is brand new and was never used — I got a gyuto around the same size shortly after and a suji on the longer end, such that I don’t need the knife. Geometry looks pretty great on this one, I’m sure it’s a fantastic performer.

The specs are:

San mai C105 core, pure iron clad
256x43mm
203g

Two-tone ironwood handle.


I paid 810 USD end of April for the knife. I’m looking to get 780 700 back (including shipping to you).

I'd speculate that since many people prefer taller knives right now, the ones coming in at <50mm heel height are generally undervalued (or whatever is the best way to put it) on BST.

I definitely think Gyutohikis are understated, they are pretty amazing allrounders. 55mm heels are not needed to get a great cutting feel
