Hello,

Just joined the forum. I've been into knives and old Japanese swords for many years (decades). With all the COVID stuff going on I'm doing a lot more cooking at home, so figured it's about time I update my kitchen knives a bit. This seems to be a good place to learn about that before I just jump in. Thanks in advance for all the info and putting up with my beginner questions.

Welcome. What knives and swords do you currently use?
 
Knives are just odds and ends that I've picked up over the years, most of which will probably get trashed once I upgrade. Swords aren't used, all pre 1800 traditionally made Japanese swords.
