I have carbon steel pans and am now in the market for a new Wok. Budget around $100. Any recommendations of brands/woks you’ve used?
It’s gas and I believe 20k BTU on the tri ring burner.What kind of burner do you have? How much heating power does it have?
Their thicker local made range is good.Not sure I'd buy from Wok Shop again... I ordered a fairly inexpensive 'hand hammered' carbon steel pow wok with a flat bottom. It clearly is a machine-stamped wok; the flat bottom is not flat but has a slightly rippled surface, which makes it impossible to scrape food out cleanly when stir frying. The metal is exceptionally thin, too. It's really not a very good wok. Perhaps some of their inventory is of a better quality, but I'll not be ordering from them again.
